VFX CGI and Flying Cars
VFX CGI, computer rendering in general is a huge part of creative industry today. In this short clip we were creating concept art for a video game. The premise, which I’m sure you’ll agree sounds great, is that you’re a flying-Uber driver who has to ferry passengers around the city without crashing, getting robbed, or worse.
While we wait with baited breath for the release, we can tell you and show you a bit about how we made this piece of work. We’ve also include a breakdown of the process so you can see the work go from wire-frames to reality.
As you can tell, there is a CGI car transposed onto real footage. By the way – if you can guess the city in question send us a message on Instagram and we’ll hold a free hour consultation with you to discuss your project. There’s a clue hidden on the page somewhere…
Back to the case in hand, there’s the live-action scene, and a CGI car, with a real driver inside. Our lead designer took notes from the client on what the car was supposed to look like – think Bruce Willis in Fifth Element – and after some back and forth we ended up with a Prius-looking vehicle.
